2016 Gala breaks all records
Record-breaking gala for a great cause
The final totals are in and the 2016 RiverWoods Gala Auction raised a record $120,000 for Society Saint Vincent de Paul Exeter (SVdP). The record-breaking evening was held at RiverWoods on October 15th with some 400 people in attendance.
The event punctuates the major partnership with SVdP, an all-volunteer non-profit that helps people in the Exeter area with a variety of issues, from food and housing to job seeking and child care.
Ever since RiverWoods opened, the community has had a unique tradition of raising money for other local non-profits, from Planet Playground, to Seacoast Hospice, New Teen Outlook (now New Heights), and Child and Family Services of NH among others. For the past several years, RiverWoods has been supporting Society of St.Vincent de Paul Exeter through a number of initiatives including two major fundraising galas; the first of which raised $100,000 for St. Vincent de Paul in October 2014. To date, the RiverWoods Gala has raised over $600,000 for fellow nonprofits in our region.
A big thank you to all of the sponsors, residents, staff and volunteers who participated in the success of this event either by donating an auction item, making a cash donation, attending the event, or by donating their time and talent.
RiverWoods is now seeking a new non-profit partner for the 2018 Gala:
