Education is a value highly prized by RiverWoods Exeter residents.
In 2007, it was the residents who established scholarship funds for staff and their families. Since then, 80 scholarships have been distributed, worth more than $196,000 toward goals of higher education. 2018 was the largest year to date, as $43,000 was awarded to 12 recipients for our 12th annual RiverWods Exeter scholarship awards.
Boutique scholarships were awarded to high school students who are on their way to college. Memorial Scholarships were presented to RiverWoods Exeter Licensed Nursing Assistants pursuing their Registered Nursing Degrees. The Archibald and Alma Mae Peabody Scholarship to assist with college education was presented to children of RiverWoods Exeter employees.
RiverWoods Exeter also established a partnership with Great Bay Community College to help nursing students through a combination of scholarships and hands-on learning. In 2018, RiverWoods Exeter residents created a scholarship program for first-year nursing students at Great Bay Community College. This year, RiverWoods Exeter awarded $8,000 in scholarship dollars to four nursing students as part of this new initiative.
