On Friday, November 22, we celebrated the unveiling of our 9th Annual Resident Art Calendar with our annual Reception and Art Show at the Ridge. Over 80 residents enjoyed the intimate gathering at the Ridge Art Gallery showcasing the extraordinary breadth and depth of artistic talent we have in our community.
We were honored to have with us the daughters of Dottie Flynn, Paula and Becky, who were there to receive the calendars and honor their late mother. Tracy Jeffers, Senior Director or Community Life, also took a few minutes to honor Dottieās memory and celebrate her many contributions and her impact on the RiverWoods Community.
Resident Artists from all three campuses submitted over 100 works of art, from sculpture to embroidery to watercolor and oil, basket weaving, woodworking and so many more. The 2020 Art Calendar features 12 artworks selected by a group of Seacoast area art professionals: Deb Thompson, Owner of the Nahcotta Gallery, Maryellen Burke, former Executive Director of Discover Portsmouth, and Mary Jo Brown, founder and president of Brown and Company Design. We could not complete this project every year without the support of RAM Printing, who underwrites a portion of our costs.
