The story of Ann Darby Reynolds’ Purple Heart

Ann Darby Reynolds, known as “Darby,” is a soft-spoken eighty-one-year-old retired nurse living at RiverWoods in Exeter, who was awarded the Purple Heart. In 1965, Darby became the first nurse to be awarded The Purple Heart in Vietnam. Her compelling memoir, “Silent Night,” was published on January 23, 2021.
